Hi Simon! I have tried to define ( like in definition, sorry for my english!) flamenco, and I came to the conclusion, that, if you tick with a stick a soleares rithme on the floor, it is flamenco. If a baby should do it with his rattle, he, or she, would not know it, but it is flamenco. So, as modern or progressed the music will get, if it has the right rithme I would call it flamenco. Well, you asked for thoughts, here is one of mine.... greetings Peter.
