Bringing together Australia's leading flamenco artists and 2 very special international guest artists, this production promises to be a fiery presentation of pure flamenco music and dance.
Featuring the powerful singing of Olayo Jiménez (direct from Spain) and the sublime dancing of Tomás Arroquero; Ana Otero, Daniela Gillis and Laura Uhe along with the musical finesse of Kieren Ray, will deliver the full force of Flamenco. Sparks will fly when the cliff hanging rhythms and shotgun footwork of the dancers ignite the highly charged atmosphere.

MORE ABOUT OUR SPECIAL GUESTS Olayo Jimenez Olayo Jiménez is a powerful flamenco figure who has performed in prestigious concert halls worldwide including the Royal Albert Hall in London and has also worked with Paco Peña. He spends his time performing throughout Spain, Europe and Australia. Cositas Flamencas is extremely excited to be working once again with Olayo.

Tomas Arroquero Tomas began dancing flamenco in the early nineties in Melbourne and moved to Madrid in 1994 where he lived and studied at ‘Amor de Dios’. His most influential teachers were Maria Magdalena, Belen Fernandez and Manuel Reyes.
Using Spain as a base for more than a decade Tomas performed regularly with the London based company ‘Flamenco Express’ and taught workshops throughout the U.K. He has taught dance and been affiliated with companies in Germany, France, Taiwan, Hong Kong, China, Australia, Canada and the U.S. Recently he has returned to Melbourne where he continues to develop a solid teaching and performance base.
Some important performance highlights have included the Laban Centre (Europe’s foremost contemporary dance centre in London), a 3-month nationwide tour of Australia with Flamenco Fire as well as sharing the stage with Tomatito at London’s famous Royal Albert Hall.
