My first impressions are very positive... it definitely is a unit designed for musicians. The video quality is ok, but it's definitely not its best feature. The HD definitely allows some good definition but the image tends to react a bit slowly when moving the Q3HD around (I don't know how else to describe it).
The main reason for me getting this little device was to record the guitar lessons I am currently taking in Seville, as well as the gigs I go to... just to have a nice 'music video library' of my trip here. And I must say that this little device really delivers the goods! As I said, it was designed with musicians in mind, and although the video quality could be better, the sound quality is surprisingly really good. The two condenser mics really deliver... the sound is clear, rich and is never distorted due to some automatic gain setting.
It's also easy to use... I recorded today's lesson with it and now I'm going throughthe different exercises and falsetas my teacher showed me... really a great tool.
At € 275, it was not cheap... And on the con side, it does feel a bit cheap (not very heavy, and the plastic could have been of better quality) but I am loving it so far and it's turning to be an invaluable tool to work with. Definitely a good product for musicians.
The options of editing videos etc also seem pretty cool, but I haven't gotten into any of that yet.

Hey avi , I have the q3 as well , I like it ,and the sound is good . It just has so many sound options and I don't know wich one is best . If you find out I would be very grateful if you post the best setting . I also have the zoom h2 wich is absolutely awesome for sound recording , and a lot more basic in it's sound quality options.

Hola Kevin,
I haven't even gotten into the different sound options yet... I'm completely illiterate when it comes to these things... but I'll keep you posted if I start messing around with the different options.
Here's a video from last night at Corallon, an underground flamenco pena in Sevilla... I haven't done any editing or anything to the video and sound.

Hey odinz,
I'm not sure that you can compare both units... a USB condenser mic with a webcam will sound good I'm sure but how about transportability? The Q3HD fits in my pocket so I can take it everywhere... the smallest thing that will allow you to use a webcam with a USB mic would be a notebook... bear that in mind.
