RE: Oasis case humidifier (in reply to Ramon Amira)
I swear by these, although I just use the ones that hang in the soundhole. I can't stand the sponge style humidifiers as they always seem to get mouldy.
I live in an exceptionally dry climate, its not unusual for the humidity in my house to hover around 20% for weeks. I'm using two of the Oasis now, one hanging in the sound hole and another attached to the side of the case. I was on a trip recently for 10 days and when I returned the humidity inside the case was still 50%.
I used a blue kitchen sponge down at the headstock end of the case for awhile but it was just too messy and difficult to keep moisture off the guitar.

The climate here is similar, tamoio. Especially dry in the winter since we're using forced air heat. The low cost is worth the extra piece of mind for me.
RE: Oasis case humidifier (in reply to Ramon Amira)
I just made a disturbing discovery yesterday after I bought an electronic device that measures the temp and humidity in percentage. I have the Oasis humidifer which goes into the soundhole of the guitar, so I put the device under the headstock in the the case, closed the case for a while and opened up to see what the reading was, guess what? it was 28% at the headstock.
I took out the guitar and put the humidifier right next to the device and closed the case, after a while it was only up to 30% . those soundhole humidifer can only provide 30% what the??? NOW I NEED 2 humidifers, one in soundhole and one in case. so now im thinking of getting this Case humidifier
I guess there is always the possibility of some conspiracy between the humidifier manufacturers and the digital hygrometer industry.
Actually I think finding an accurate hygrometer for less than $1000 is pretty difficult, I wouldn't mind knowing the error range on the little guys.
EDIT> From what i can find it looks like all these mini digital hygrometers are spawned from the same source in the industrial wastelands of China, they claim an accuracy of +- 4% to 6% which ( if you can believe it ) is plenty in the ballpark.
