Spanish Tapas

I just got back from trying out a new tapas bar close by and had an exquisite tapa: pork and pine nuts wrapped in cabbage leaf with chickpeas in a saffron sauce. Wonderful. Also some amazing olives, the most gorgeous pinky purple colour with a cheesy tang.

I also just got sent this link I thought I would share which is about tapas specifically from Granada.

Yeah... it doesn't appear to be as appetising as you say. I believe you and it's good to get recommendations, especially as I get older I'm not so inclined as to stick just any random object in my mouth as I used to be.

I like my squid to look like Greek calamaria.

Nice site you linked us to. Now I can make some interesting foods if I ever invite people over, and won't seem like a complete bumpkin.

For me, I think tapas have become a bit too complicated these days, and now you can see why they're not free anymore!
Speaking of which, who knows why they are called that? (Don't jump in straight away if you already know, and don't just cheat and Google it, I want some educated guesses!)

Hey thanks for the reply Dom, I could hear the crickets there for a second
I forgot to tell you not to recommend the restaurant anymore after our falling out with our business partner! (after more than 6 months of legal crap we're not involved anymore)

Yes - there are tapas made from potatoes, aubergine, peppers in most bars. My husband Dave doesn't eat meat and it certainly reduces what he can choose from. When we get free tapas in Granada if it's meat I just have to eat it for him lol.

Kate's husband Harold doesn't eat meat or fish and manages quite successfully tho!
