Is it just the angle of this illustr...

... does Sabicas seem to be playing a 5" thick dreadnought with pegs?

And one that has a super-wide bridge too.

Yes. The illustrator that they hired probably just modeled the guitar after something he saw in an acoustic guitar magazine.
