Down here "v" is always a soft "b". No exceptions, whatever anyone else tells you

It's pronounced as it's spelt as in "jingle bells" and he speaks English I believe.

mad one cool , i was coming up with all crazy spanish variants lol escribano, your bernal, would you say i could take this guitar anywhere or is it strictly a house guitar, i know little of flamenco guitar construction, but have read that the lighter the build the brighter the sound.

It is a blanca and fairly bright but not a particularly light build. Too much weight would increase sustain, I believe, which is not desirable in a blanca - for accompanying cante.

It's been everywhere in a Hiscox hard case - which was about £60 in the UK. If you are not flying, a traditional Spanish case should be fine.

p.s. Jingle would sound like "heenglay" in Spanish.

I think I'm gonna call him that when I'm there week after next

@Nerja_boy, Escribano is right - it is pronounced as in Jingle bells. I don't know where he got the nick name - Pimientito might know. And yes, he speaks perfect English.
