Feria de Jerez

Is anyone here planning on going to the feria? I'll be there from Wednesday the 12th to Saturday the 15th.

Johnatan and Estela!

I´ll be in the feria on wednesday the 13th and thursday the 14th. Just for two days, better than nothing. Have to see many friends and family but it will be nice to meet you in the feria and have a few glasses of fino.

Melchor

Sean:

Trout fishing in Ireland?! That is the eqivalent of a golfer playing the old course at St. Andrews. I am an avid golfer, and have golfed at St Andrews. The second fantasy item I want to accomplish is trout fishing in Ireland! I am a fly fisherman (no barbed hooks and always release everything that doesn't wind up on my table for the evening meal) If I bring my number 5 bamboo rod with number 4 line, will I be overwhelmed by your Ireland trout?

Cheers,
Paul

Paul

I used to be an APGAI trout and salmon casting instructor. Now I confine my fishing to a week in the West of Ireland where I have my own boat on Lough Corrib, 22 May onwards. Bamboo is a bit heavy: I reckon that on the lake you make 3,000 casts a day and if you catch 2 trout you are lucky. 10ft carbon with line 5 is better.

If you should catch one, they fight like demons and are wonderful to eat. I have been fishing the lakes for 25 years and always manage my own boat without a boatman. The are two other magnificent lakes nearby, Mask ( my favourite) and Carra.

I shall be meeting up with a great friend who is a professional rock guitarist.

Vente pa´ca.

Melchor, it's a big fair, but I hope to run into you...do you know what casetas you might be at? I'm going to look for one called Los Ternicos where some flamenco people invited me...other than that I'll just be wandering around.

As you must know, your cousin Inma (Melchora) and her husband David are both competing in Cordoba, I hope they have good luck.
