webcam recording software ? 
Hi.
I have this built in webcam in my computer.
Does anyone know of any recording software ( downloadable ).
At the moment there doesn't seem to be any programm to make vids with.
Or is there something standard in windows that I can't find ?
The camera is "acer urbicam" and I'm using vista.

Koella, try Windows Movie Maker.

Thanks Grisha.
I found the options "recording from TV" and "importing video's to edit"
But I can't find any option to record video with the webcam.

Try "Capture from video device".

I used that with my camcorder, which worked very well.
But moviemaker doesn't find the webcam when I press "capture from video camera". Even when I turn it on. It's a built in webcam with no help features or menu whatsoever.

Ok, I found a free programm to record the webcam.
Now is there anyway I can get rid of the slow-motion movements, or is that inherent to a webcam ?

That's a low frame rate. Webcams are webcams.

You can get a regular video cam that records on digital tape
for under 200.00, and a version of Vegas Video for 100 bucks.

It will look like a million bucks, with no headaches.

I know you probably wont do that, but i just thought i'd throw that out there
anyway.

Hey Todd. Don't be so prejudiced.
I already have a camcorder. The one I recorded my uploads with.
And it was more then 200 bucks.

I'm just looking at that funny liitle webcam thingy everytime I'm at my laptop. So I thought I might just as well do something usefull with it.
