a happier subject

Well it's all gone very quiet since that last thread was locked hasn't it. Tell you what here's something a bit lighter. This is a pic of me practising on the terrace of our apartment near Almeria yesterday afternoon.

Yes I was really practising! Not just posing to try to prove to my teacher that I practice even when I'm away!!

We went over there on Thursday night and by Saturday morning my fingers were all twitchy because I hadn't played for two days, so we had to rush to a guitar shop and buy one. It's not great - bit of a thrash model - but it does the job fine.

Yep, that looks like Almería. If you pass by El Valle de Lecrín, there are beers and wine in my fridge :-)

This is great. I'm so jealous you guys live in such great places. I still sometimes regret I left Ukraine, I know we're not doing so well there as in the rest of the Europe but now I live in a sad little town in the south of US. Won't let it last long though.

How great it is to sit on a balcony with a glass of wine and play a beautiful guitar.

Thank you! Very refreshing, and quite inspiring.

And when you take the into town, there's live music and dancing on board, right?

Is there any other way to practise?

Ailsa,

Why don't you buy a travel guitar if you like to practice while travelling?
I bought an Aria Sinsonido for $400 US and I'm very happy with it. It is
very light and fits into a nice soft case you can take on board a plane.
Check out this link:

It comes in both nylon and steel string versions.
Yamaha has a similar model which is actually nicer and more expensive,
but the problem is that it is not as compact as this one.

El Carbonero is based in Jerez de la Frontera,
I went last summer and attended some lessons, and there was a girl that
looked like you in your picture!
That't why my question

Must have been Michelle Yeoh - so now she's playing flamenco, too!

No, but is that a recommendation? I see on Amazon that there is a Heroic Trio II as well, made three years later.

Err ..... sorry about all the martial arts film talk you other guys. Still, I didn't complain about all those motor bike pictures recently. No, I loved them. Really.
