There's no "special effects" involved in the video... The Shaolin Monks really do this stuff. I had one video where a guy does press-ups (push-ups) on his fingers too. Its virtually unbelievable, but true. This sort of thing first got me interested in Kung Fu, but I soon realised that it was all easier said than done.

However, I DO have a good practice routine for developing RIGHT hand strength though!

I guess this means you didn't get as far as "Iron Egg Skill" (link on the right under 'shaolin balls training'). There's a part where the guy in orange could use some Michael Jackson music.

Nah, unfortunately I didn't make it ANYWHERE NEAR the "Iron Egg" level of things. Although I remember hearing stories from my Sifu that some of the top monks could even "retract" their testicles back inside their body. I'm not sure if thats true or not, but from what I've seen of the Shaolin Monks so far, I'll believe they can do virtually ANYTHING!

Personally, I only got as far as memorizing the first forms ("Kata" I think they were called), a bit like the "Kung Fu Alphabet". But I always forgot all the fancy moves when it came to sparring and just reverted back to the same old punch-kick-punch routine.

We did have some good fun PRETENDING to know Kung Fu though... It was like: "You b*stard! You have offended my Father's honour... Prepare to die!" except with dodgy American-esque accents and bad lip-syncing. Man, I spent most of my younger days running through routines like that after a few drinks...
