i have a guitar the same except for the fact mine is a 12 string, but it is exactly the same in every detail including the headstock features. any info on my guitar is appreciated including its value.

Yeah...I heard the same, even one of Hendrix stratocasters was around 180,000.
I havent heard of a classical guitar selling for nearly a half million either. I dont even think "la leona" by Torres is worth that much!

BTW. When you start paying more than 12- 16 K for an instrument, you are (in general) paying for historical or sentimental significance. Assume for a moment the guitar was not owned by Joao Gilberto. That model (if it took 7 years to build....how?) is worth say 7,000 -12,000. Personally I would not pay an extra 485,000 for the honour of owning Joao Gilbertos guitar.
