best of all, look at the "feedback" of the ferrari seller. I would not pay 140k to someone with such references heheh...

To be honest, anyone who can afford to buy, insure and run a Ferrari is not gonna buy it on Ebay. The whole point of a Ferrari is to show off how rich you are, and the whole point of Ebay is to save pennies by undercutting the retail value price. Most millionaires don't NEED to use Ebay.

Besides, if you buy one on Ebay, how do you know its not a Ferrari chassis with a Ford Cortina engine inside?

There are some freaks who arent rich, but saved every penny their whole life to get a ferrari. I saw a driving-shool in TV..and they use a ferrari there. So if they need money, they can get most money maybe on ebay. If they sell it to a shop the shop only gives a very small price to get a lot more money when selling it again. Guitarstores do it the same. So could be a good idea with ebay. And they reach many people around he world. Which blackboard is so famous as ebay.

My father is a sailing-lover. He checks the auctions for ships on ebay for getting a feeling for the prices. He told me that its normal to sell ships with very high prices on ebay. And its normal to post them many times till the right person found and bought it. That could explain the gerundino auction some days ago.

As the feedback list says... there are hundreds of people who buy such expensive cars on ebay. Hmm.. Would be interesting, why they didnt went in a shop. Maybe the price is much higher.

I suppose you may be right there Doitsujin. I did see an ISLAND off the coast of Scotland for sale on Ebay once. It sold for over a million pounds, if I remember rightly. But if you're a millionaire (or billionaire) part of the pleasure of buying posh things it that they are "reassuringly expensive".
