Romani Roots Festival

Anyone get to this lovely few days in the Sussex downs last weekend?

old sussex folk Autumn folk-rhyme:

'Apples be ripe.
Nuts be brown.
Petticoats up.
Trousers down.'

Well the petticoats part was true enough. With added Griff-Rhys Jones for good measure.
Here's hoping Roots Around the World bring off something as exciting in next year's roma event.

And as for the 'Gridshell', what acoustics.

yup, lots of wierd coincidences happened that day was veeery interesting experience.
gridshell was a brilliant venue for it, i was there on the night of flamenco express which was amazing, chris mullet and jesus alvarez were damn good. managed to get a place at the front to watch el titi dance..... whoa
