Interesting quote Gerardo Nunez
I found this quote, it is about Tino van der Swan, a duch flamenco guitarist. I think it is interesting, because there is so much happening in the world out of Spain according to flamenco.

Another way to Jerez, interview to Gerardo Nuñez by Alberto Garcia Reyes.
I have an even more important project, which is doing a Cd about the flamenco done out of Spain. There is a Dutch guitarist, he is very good. I know I'm going to be criticized by doing this, but it's a reality. It's happening like with jazz, now we can talk about flamenco not Spanish?

I took classes from Tino at the Cristina Heeren Fundacion in Sevilla, for a month. One of the deans of the school believes that flamenco, like jazz, will eventually become a universal art form and holds Tino as a working pro as an example of that. Tino studied under Paco Pena in Rotterdam. He also practiced all day for years.
