Ramin, wow thanks for the kind words!

I also appreciate Ricardo. In fact I appreciate everyone here except for Koella. ( ;0 ) Anyone who writes about their flamenco or experience or has questions (even complete newbie questions) and stimulates discussions is a valuable contributor to this forum.

While we're on the subject, I would like to thank Simon. If it weren't for Escribano, we all wouldn't even be here. Many friends would not have been made, many ideas would not have been shared, many lessons would not have been learned, so on and so on. Thanks Simon. 3 Ole's for Simon!

Simon is totally the man. If the other forum didn't crash and burn as a result of...hey, weren't there like two people who started this huge mess and then Dimitri shut it down? All I remember is that they were both damn good guitar players. Who was that, I can't seem to remember!

Yup yup! Much love and respect to the foro and it's members.

BTW - Where's flamencoguru? Some of his video uploads inspired me to 'try' to be a better player. As well as you others: Ricardo, Henrik, TK, Juan de Maguncia, JBASH, Doitsujin, Plasencia, G.Edgar, ykabban, Florian.

Honorable mention goes to those who inspire, but without the video: RonM, JonB, Miguel, Conrad, Patrick, HenryM(thanks for the tablature brother)...

Respect

Yeah, Ricardo is a complete bad ass.

The guy is just really talented, and sharp as a whip.

He's coming by here Friday to record some more, then he's
off to Spain on Saturday!!

Wish i was going with him!

Well first and foremost, we have to thank Simon for hosting this website- without him there would be no foro.

But what really makes a forum is the members... I can't think of a single member who hasn't contributed something positive at one point or other. Even Koella.

I'd also like to thank a few members that are no longer with us... Flyeogh for hooking me up with my current Flamenco teacher. And Thomas Whitely, who unfailingly offered help even when I was a complete "Newbie" asking silly questions. And Florian, for his great sense of humour.

Not to mention all the professional and amature luthiers out there who are always at hand to offer your views: Anders, T Nunez, Armando, Ykabban, and the rest: your help has been invaluable to me and many others.

But yes, Ricardo, Miguel, Ron, Todd, Doitsujin, Deniz, Kate, Juan, and ALL the rest of you...

Thanks!!!

Jb

RE: Thank God for this forum! (in reply to Guest

My thanks to Deniz, who actually told me about this forum in the first place.

And thanks to all members who've helped me out with tips, given me the critisizm I needed as well as the praise to keep me going.

Ricardo is just amazing. Everytime I see a question concerning anything at all flamenco no matter how obscure he's usually one of the first to pop in and answer. Sometimes I think he has the phone number of some flamencologist in Spain he calls whenever he needs an answer

Of course not to forget all the rest of you, ToddK, Duende, Ron M., Ramin, Jon, Doitsujin, Miguel, Koella, Ivan, Simon (feel like I'm in a rap video, "wanna give a shout out to..." ) and everyone else who've made this forum possible, helpful and fun...

What's stopping you Todd?
It's not hugely expensive, and it would be great going with Ricardo, who you know.
You'd have a great time and I bet Nuñez would be fascinated by the precision of your technique.
It's probably a bit late in the day to tag along now, but IMO you should definitely get something organized for next year!

cheers

Ron

PS....I agree Ricardo is a fine guitarist, great aficionado and fine fellow and I really appreciate him spending time to contribute his knowledge to the Forum.
We must all get more out of his stuff than he can possibly get from ours.
He's also got a good sense of humour which makes me laugh, but somehow tends to annoy others...

Have a great time in Spain man!

cheers

Ron

PS: I changed the title, I felt bad leaving everyone else out. So thank you all!

WOW! Thanks a lot Shroomy, and everyone else! Not sure where all that came from but it sure feels good! And thanks to that big list of other contributors (as mentioned) that keep things mature, interesting, and fun! And sorry to anyone if I come across as a "know it all" or too arguementative and stuff. That is just me, sorry. Lots of good questions on here that keep me learning too.

Yeah I am headed off to spain again for a couple weeks of intense guitar partying. I dont' bring a camera usually, the pics I post are from friends. No vid cams allowed unfortunately. I do have a camera on my new cell phone so I will try to snap some pics if I can remember or put my guitar down long enough!

Anyone going to be there, lets meet up.

JasonM, man, delete that embarrassing crap, POR FAVOR!
