PDL Los Pinares second guitar

Hi all!

Im practiceing Los Pinares of Paco at the moment. I will play it at a spanish night in 4 weeks with a friend. Im searching the right chords for the second guitar. In the audio the second guitar has the cejilla some freats lower than Paco. And one or more strings are tuned down.
Does somebody know the tunig of the second guitar.. and some chords?

I know the second guitar in the same fret as paco plays it. But its cooler with the original one. If somebody know more than me or have some ideas.. PLEASE tell me!! Its a really great composition.

Doit,
I can't find the LP right now, but going from memory, when Paco is playing Tangos in A then isn't Ramon de Algeciras is playing two frets down in B7?
(C-B7....Em..D..C..B7).

Thanks for the toughts. Paco plays in the phrygian a in the 4th fret. Than B7 doesnt fit in a lower fret. I hope you find the record Ron.

How do you guys hear this stuff? I must be tone deaf, in addition to being unable to think outside the box.

I do remember reading somewhere that either Paco or Ramon is playing in an altered tuning. Maybe it was Alain Faucher's site.

Yes, I also hear different chords on the second guitar, so it's somehow logical that the second guitar plays with capo on the second fret. When you know this, it's not so hard to figure out the chords.

Yes but I dont know the fret of the second guitar..and the tuning. And to hear the tunig isnt possible..Could be so much. If I just remember barrio negro of Tomatito..also the colombianas and the taranta had altered tuning. The tangos, too...And the most striking thing is..they usually use selfconstructed new tunings. Only for one composition..

Yep I found it!!

Not long after, he continues his exploration : in the tangos, Los Pinares, the first guitar plays in A Phrygian with the cejilla at the 4th fret, while the second guitar accompanies in rondeña tuning "al aire" (open). He contributes in this way to establishing this tuning in the main styles, prompting others to follow. As early as 1976 Niño Miguel records Recuerdos, a remarkable bulería rondeña.

Allright !

Mostly I try to pick up the open strings in the chords/melody.
They sound different from the fretted notes.

Once you have that, it should be obvious.

0 2 0 0
0 1 1 0
0 2 0 5
2 0 2 4
2 0 3 2
0 x 0 0
I TRHINK SO......tell me what u think!

My answere comes late, but I also think so. The second guitar is 2 frets lower than the first one. No Rondena tuning. I think Faucher knows too much, so he found the harder way. Sometimes the answere is more simple than it looks like.
