nice job. Maybe a couple ligado phrases were on beat instead of contratiempo? I would have to check but sounds good anyway.

yea there was a slight dragging in one place. Recording anxiety can do that.

Ricardo what do you think about my overall playing? Any specific areas I should work on?

hey man,

nice one. well done!

Forum seems dead at the moment so good job keeping the fires burning.

But same note I gave before. its hard for me to tell whats happening cos of the sound, but it seems youre dragging behind the beep quite a bit. also lacks a bit of power. its a little soft.

Some nice dymanics in places but generally something lacking. I know youre not DDM but still.

I'm not sure what it is but I remember feeling like this on a previous bulerias vid you posted. maybe the metronome needs to be louder?

Seperate thing. do you often play sat on a a bed/sofa? I know you posted a bout leg pain before.

Generally you are on the right track. Only issues I have are in the details, one was mentioned. The up strokes need to come out more when you are keeping time...I see your finger moving but the top string is not driving the contra feeling because I can't really hear it ringing. Your thumb work is too close to the sound hole, you need to move it back towards the bridge and find the sweet spot where the notes don't snap so much because the strings are tighter and resist more back there. This also will make you want to play a little "harder", but I don't mean by force, but getting a firmer grip on the string with the right hand fingers before plucking the note...and this makes the notes dynamically louder. At the same time you do have some nice natural dynamics that you want to preserve so this is only going to be certain notes that need to be expressed with more conviction/confidence/strength. But again it might be you need to move the hand back toward the bridge more.

The rasgueados also tend to be "snapping" into the bass strings too much, you need to be brushing across to make a more brilliant treble sound and rounder tone out of the chords. NOT all the time, but most of the time. There are times you want that snapping sound on the low notes. So it is a lot of little details that you will likely fix on your own, the more you record yourself. And the last thing that WILL make a difference has nothing to do with YOU.....it is that you need a proper instrument. At some point.
