He meant the guy I referred to: Juan Diego Matos.

And now that the thread is hijacked, I am still waiting on a "best of Isreal Fernandez with Diego del Morao". I watched one concert and it is ok. I want to see the "best" or the more inspired versions.

i enjoyed that gig so much i went searching for vids of the same set on that tour etc ...but was left a bit meh too tbh

perhaps something magical was happening in the theatre the night me and richard saw them?

I was also at that performance and it moved me more than any video I have seen. I'm sure if I saw a video of that actual performance it wouldn't be as good.

For me flamenco is best experienced live, in person. E.g. I saw Mara Rey at a tablao in Jerez a couple of week's ago. Experiencing her cante and participation in the moment from a few feet away with no microphone was great, but I don't get much from a recording or video.
