It's very sad.

Reminds me of the catastrophic Ahr-valley flood 2021 near here in Germany...
Hope you and your family are o.k.

I sometimes watch this fellow for his daily news updates. I think he's an Australian expat who's been living in Madrid for some time now. He basically reads news articles on current events and adds his take on things to the mix. I've been watching his updates on and off for a few years now.

after Valencia , now its time to move to Barcelona.

Some years ago i got heavy rain on August in Madrid.... it was the heaviest since 10 years ago before that day.

Highway was flooding at the suburbs of Madrid , and it was impossible to see anything , so i turn on all the car lights like an emergency and drove to the center of Madrid , it was crazy but i was behind schedule..
the next day it was great , summer days and nights.
Crazy this happen August

Bit off topic (OK, a lot off topic) ...the Spain Speaks guy has started a series of vids called Spain Like a Local, where he's been covering the kind of meals one could expect to eat as a local. Menu del Día, cafe, and truck stop stuff and the like, not fancy, but cool to watch none the less.
