Ai infiltration
I read some of these posts and it feels weird sometimes.
I'm sure it's just people and law of averages but theres always a few challenging members at any one time. Dont get me wrong all are welcome and valuable. but its a phenomenom for sure.
In the main everyone is coherent and decent. Which is why it sticks out like a sore thumb when there's strange behaviour. Troll like or just pig headedness.
But it got me thinking about AI and would we ever be subject to a member who was basically a chat bot? I know we get bots spamming crap, but I'm not aware of ever having a chat bot that engages in conversation.
some of the replies to posts sometimes have an eerie sense of disconnect. Maybe its a language barrier thing but i dunno..... or maybe just members not listening.
Would it happen? would we recognise it? has it happened?
Sorry... feeling a sense of morning conspiracy haha
"Anything you do can be fixed. What you cannot fix is the perfection of a blank page. What you cannot fix is that pristine, unsullied whiteness of a screen or a page with nothing on it—because there’s nothing there to fix."
I just read an article about how the Amazon Fresh grocery store "Just Walk Out" AI check-out program was actually powered by over 1000 contract workers in India acting as remote cashiers. Apparently the program has been cancelled as they have been accused of undercutting the local job market.
Seems they put the "A" in AI, but the "I" needs a bit more work.
well all industries people are being replaced by software/hardware , thats why companies keep pushing their APPS and Websites , and automatic phone machine (recording) that only replies questions with "FAQS" answers..
The propose its not to help people , but to give more value to Stocks/shareholders etc , pure greed (as usual)
in a future , will be less work , and more people with less buying power (and few with more) , so were going to see how companies will manage without clients... because all of us are clients of something , if we dont have buying power companies will soar , its just stupid .
probably Countries will give to those persons a low subvention to keep them in "place" in a "near riot " condition.
Maybe someone uses translator? Just like me My English is not good and I am learning it. when I dont know how to say something I will use translator. But you know, the accuracy of translation for Chinese is not good, so sometimes something is translated wrong and just like AI lol
Some years ago I was interpreting in a military context, when one of the higher-ups came up to me and told me how impressed he was at how well the "translation machine" worked. The "translation machine" was me.
