Gordon Lightfoot was one of the greats. I have two of his vinyl LP albums I bought back in 1977 at Clark Air Base in the Philippines when I was assigned to the American Embassy in Manila. One of the albums is a double with his hits up to that time: The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald, For Loving Me, Early Morning Rain, Canadian Railroad Trilogy, and the list goes on. I just retrieved the album from my stack and plan to play it this evening when I have my copita of jerez, and I will drink a silent toast in tribute to Gordon Lightfoot. Bill
