Nino Jero

I just heard he passed. I’ve never seen him mentioned on the foro but what a great player he was. Direct. I hate , as a foreigner, to use the term, “very flamenco” but he was. RIP.

Lucky to have seen him play live in Jerez back about a year before the scam. Super direct no-messing, great sounding guitarist.

DEP.

Another loss to flamenco. He has been mentioned here many times, usually in the context of cante.

An interview from last year.

Perikin was unique, charming, suprising and a gentleman. he really loved life and flamenco. one of the favourite accompanists by so many jerez singers.

he was one of Ron's favourite jerez players, i'm fortunate to have gotten the chance to do some lessons with him. i was pretty upset this morning when i got the news from some friends in Jerez.

last lesson i had with him in 2019 before the pandemic, he was kind enough to go through the falsetas and matices for the accompaniment in this video.

This is how i remember him.

he did some really nice recordings on tv.

That’s a great picture of you and him, Henry. My condolences on your loss of a friend.
