Tomatito Soy Flamemco vids

I was re-listening to Soy Flamenco and wondering...

Has anyone seen any videos of him playing stuff from the album? From what I’ve seen, he usually plays “some” material from Paseo de los castanos and older during live shows, save the Our Spain track and maybe the Rondena.

But I don’t think I’ve seen him play hardly any bulerias falsetas from his last couple albums really.

He probably makes that stuff up live in the studio then keeps good parts, splices it together and forgets all about it. But here at 4:26:

Same falseta at 7:11

Cool, that’s a pretty obscure video! So you think he improvises over some loose ideas? It does sort of sound that way , but there are also some really interesting ideas and some good parts. Maybe he has his live show set list down solid and doesn’t feel like changing, . That way he can just roll out of bed and do a concert without rehearsal ..?

Those sophisticated falsetas you have to practice constantly... if not you fall back to whatever is mindless and easy. Like Paco’s concert in 2010 till the end when he relearned those old falsetas from soniquete.... that is very hard work man! That’s why you see him drilling it in the hotel room with his kid playing video games in La Busqueda...that is hard stuff to maintain. Like stuff on my first album I would have to download my own scores and relearn em at this point
