nut slot depth on Flamenco-preferred...

on steel string we press the string down between the 2nd and 3rd fret and using a standard piece of paper(.004" thickness), we slide the paper under the 1st fret and want to feel a slight drag. whats the preferred method to set up Flamenco's at the nut slots?
how do you want that action at the 1st fret to be?

You can check like you described. Sometimes 3rd 5th and 6th string may need a bit more clearance to avoid buzzing. But this depends on other variables too...
