Billy Strings 

My Dad kept telling me to check this kid out. Bluegrass with a dash of metal. A refreshing touch to the genre. He's got some great chops

Jason enjoyed that. Tx. I listened to a few of his YouTude vids. Might get one or two of his dropped into the list for my Acoustic group. The kid can sure finger pick while singing.
That is much more difficult than one might think. Well beyond me even when strumming and when chord changes match the lyric lines - if you know what I mean

I love the banjo sound as well.

Got to love flatpicking on a D18. I sold my D28, but I can’t see ever letting the D18 go.

I don’t know why, but he reminds me of Leo Kottke. Maybe it’s his voice, but he also looks a bit like him.

Looks like he’s been playing a Thompson guitar nowadays. I think his guitars are becoming the thing to have for bluegrass
