Golpeador re-glue 
Ive got a golpeador on a guitar, however i would like to re-do my last stages shellack etc. but this golpeador is sticked to my guitar.
Is there a way to take it of and put it on again later on without damaging the fininsh?

currently ive got bone glue and titebond.

If it’s stuck on with Titebond and bone glue then the gentle use of heat with a small amount of water may be necessary to soften the glue enough that the golpeador can be slowly and carefully removed.

The main goal here is to not damage the finish on the guitar. Don’t bother trying to save the golpeador, as it will almost certainly get sufficiently damaged during the process that a new one will be required as a replacement.

Beware that removing a golpeador can be very dangerous. Not just for the finish, but even for the wood underneath. Same for applying heat to a guitar, which could open a soundboard center joint or cause cracking.

Please note I said “gentle use of heat” and to proceed “slowly and carefully”. Otherwise, I’m with José on this.

I did it many times and while generally it goes through, in a couple of cases it turned into a real mess.
I'd never do it again if the guitar has a cedar top.
Anyway, my suggestion is too for a moderate use of heat and a very slow application of specific product like goo gone.

My initial impression was that the golpeador was attached using a water based glue. If the glue used was a contact type then something like naphtha or goo-gone would be the appropriate solvent, instead.

On the other hand, if the material used to attach the golpeador isn’t actually known, then it may be prudent to avoid the exercise altogether.

As far as the application of heat is concerned, I’m assuming a measure of common sense would be applied and the use of devices such as blow torches, blast furnaces, and flame throwers would be studiously avoided.

*edit* After reading the OP’s duplicate post on another forum, I’m going to add clothes iron to the above list...
