Esteve 2GR6F opinion?

Hi everyone!

I’m a beginner and have the opportunity to buy a lightly used Esteve 2GR6F from 2004. However, I’m having some difficulty finding any information about the guitar and how it differs from the current Esteve 6F. The current 6F has a solid spruce top, solid sycamore back/sides and an ebony fingerboard.

If it’s in good condition, it should be great as a beginner / intermediate guitar. I was just wondering whether anyone had any personal experience with one.

Thanks for your time!
Taz.

RE: Esteve 2GR6F opinion? (in reply to Mistertaz

Hi, I had an Esteve GR07 and it was my first flamenco type guitar. At one point I traded a person for the Esteve "flamenco" (I forget the numbers) but I had to trade back, because the sound was worse than the GR07 which surprised me.
Since then I have moved on, and at the time the factory made Esteve's were a step up. Since that time I have been using and recommend trying your own local luthiers made by hand if you can afford them.
If you think you will continue with flamenco, just get the best you can afford. Esteve's are ok, not great IMHO. Good luck!
