Loose cable inside guitar

Hi, have a quick question. In my old guitar with a passive under-saddle pickup the cable connecting the pickup with the endpin jack is loose and rattles inside the guitar. Looks like it was fixed to the back with some kind of adhesive paper tape, which has dried out and detached. What is the proper way of fixing the cable to the guitar body? Should I use something like a hot glue stick? It is not mentioned in Fishman installation guide. Thanks.

Regular old scotch tape/sellotape should be fine, pretty sure that’s what my LR Baggs installation recomended, if not that’s what I used.
