softening the donwstroke

Hi Folks,

In my continues quest for improving my playing, I am currently trying to mellow my index downstroke and rasgueo. I now have on the trebles a raspy sound and would like to have it more mellow. Anybody has any recomendations on how to approach that? Should i "brusch" the strings more lighlty? Is it a mather of angle?

I appreciate it might be senselss to say anything without hearing/seeing so I am open for all comments :-)
