When my friend John and I formed the Peña Flamenca de Irlanda, we both came from R&B bands and always went to see Rory and became friends. Now John is the president of the Rory fan club with Rory´s brother and has the Fender official copy of Rory´s much abused Strat

His blues seems overshadowed by his rock music, but he had some seriously good blues skills for a white guy, he even played with Albert King, although most soloing here is by Albert:
