Not flamenco, but a young lady who plays better than 90% of male guitar players from any genre or historical time. I mean there is her then the cream of all time basically IMO. Perhaps young in terms of taste, but holy smokes as she matures she will only improve. she seems very good, and also funny and entertaining in the tutorial I noticed in the comments to her video on YT that they all were just about her playing, which should be normal, but it's not. The Paula Hermosin solea vid I watched were as much about her looks as her playing, and that seems kinda "normal" in classical guitar videos of women. I would have expected heavy metal commenters to be more leery, but no, it's the classical guitar fans that are the creepy stalkers! Classical guitar fan boys are the worst. The most insecure about women in music, they collectively act out as the most threatened by women. I used to chat with Paola before her YouTube channel was so big. She’s a graduate of the Conservatory of Music in Sevilla, and her main teacher was the classical, baroque, continuo, vihuela player Juan Carlos Rivera.

Well there could be more than one explanation. 11k views and 75 comments? The simplest is that she, as owner of the video, deletes the offending comments, even critical ones, and leaves what she wants up. That is the simplest explanation. However, I have seen certain videos that garner only positive comments, and she could be at that stage of breakthrough where she has arrived as “one of the dudes” involved for her excellent skill. Not until the million view mark opens up the doors to trolls for this genre. There is an amazing female vocalist Elize Ryd, Swedish, good looking. In an interview she said she receives a thousand d..k pics a day…but wanted to thank all the men out there but apologized that her mom handles her account and deletes all but the good ones which she only “sometimes” shares with her!

Not until the million view mark opens up the doors to trolls for this genre. it's not so much trolling and negative comments i was referring to, but the sort of "positive" comments that refer to looks like "lovely playing from a beautiful lady" type of thing. On the one hand you can argue that it's "positive" and there's nothing wrong with it, but on the other hand guys are pretty much judged on their playing with no reference to looks, so why shouldn't women be treated the same? Also those "positive" comments can be so gushing and over-the-top they are kinda creepy, especially when there are a lot of them... I have NEVER seen a youtube comment about a male flamenco or classical guitarist refer to his looks... but it seems par for the course the female classical guitarists videos I have watched. Pleasantly surprised to see none of that with the shred woman, but maybe, as you say, she deletes them...
