Very nice indeed. The Alegrias intro played around 15:10 happens to be the second half of a lovely intro he played during a solo concert around 1988/89 (on his first cd that intro was replaced by the tabla intro). Still wonder were he got the tarantas theme played around 46:36. Traces of it popped up in various pieces later on (like his fandangos) but this version is still pretty close to the one he played in 1983. Back then it was also part of his tarantas but it was played in a 3/4 (fandangos ?) rhythm rather then the free version he plays here.

Haven't played that record for to far long but can't recall that theme to pop up on any of his records (but might have forgotten it). I own a streed recording of Vicente playing that theme in the company of others (including a singer and a couple of guitarists) and none of them recognized it or took the bate (he was hoping to kickstart a mutual alegrias). So he tried it again a couple of minutes later....again silence. Only the 4th time he threw in the theme (a couple of other songs were played in between) it was picked up by the others :-).

A concert he played around that period of time (late 80ties) started with this alegrias intro

-------------------------------------5--7---------------------------------------
---------------------------------7---------9----------9--10-9-----------------
--------------------------5--8----------------------9---------------------------
-------------------4--7---------------------------7-----------------------------
-------------3--6----------------------------------------------------------------
--5-4-3--4-------------------------------------9--------------------------------

or whatever left hand management he preferred, and after playing some other lines finishing with the well known G# chord he continued his introduction with the theme of above video. Only heard him play small parts of those lines in his later years and records.
