Córdoba wb 10 April

I'll be in Córdoba for a week from Monday 10 April. Does anyone have any inside dope on flamenco there?
I have this: http://cordobaflamenca.com/agenda/

And I know where the tablaos are. I'm asking for that foot-on-the-ground info that is never on the internet.

Ta.

Off the Plaza del Potro, at C/. Romero Barros, you can find the Hotel Maestre:

http://www.hotelmaestre.com/

It’s been a long time since I was there (since I now always stay with friends); but at that time it was pleasant and reasonably priced, and most of the students at Paco Peña’s Festival stayed there. From their website, it still looks the same.

On the other side of the street is the Taberna Plateros (the actual address is C/. San Francisco 6, i.e. the other side of the block). I believe there’s still a nice peña flamenca there that meets once a week; I forget which day, but if you ask in the tavern, they’ll tell you. It’s a private club, with its own room. I presume you know the etiquette?

As to other places, my information may be out of date; I’ll do some asking.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Paul, much appreciated.

Do I know the etiquette? Well, ahem, naturally as a seasoned traveller and deep aficionado, I need no instruction in the finer points. But it strikes me that it might be a service for any newbies reading this thread, were you to lay out the rudiments as you see them.
