Ohhhh not good. Titebond Original is the one.

BTW did did some research, Titebond glues may stick to themselves, but they don't cross link with themselves after they dry.

So yes it's possible to reglue over dried Titebond, but not ideal. The glue that is older and dried will remain a separate layer and the bonding is mechanical not crosslinked from new glue layer into old glue layer.

Titebond sticks to itself, but it does not reincorporate with itself. Hide glue does reincorporate with itself. There is potential for failure if the older glue layer does not provide a good mechanical substrate for the newer layer. In other words the joint is only as good as the first layer of dried glue. If it ever gives, the reglued section potentially goes with it.

Stephen is correct you should have used original. Titebond III is waterproof and more resistant to heat so it works well with gluing up things like bindings to avoid de-lamination when bending.

hi all,

i've just noticed with this post one thing like Ramzi's guitar on my Carvalho 9f

i don't know if it is because of a lack ok humidity or if it was already there when i bought the guitar ...

it's a 700$ solid top spruce and cypress back & sides, woods are not high quality ,

neck is supposed to be mahogany, do you think it is a construction problem or dryness ??

is there a risk to keep it like this , or should i put a little point of glue ?

thanks in advance

That should be glued as soon as possible. If it were to part suddenly it could cause lots of damage and you'd be in for a big repair bill. Please don't put a "point of glue" on it, the glue should be worked into the seam and the neck clamped.
