Anybody playing a Sascha Nowak Flame... 
Is anybody playing a Sascha Nowak flamenca here? I'd like to hear about firsthand experiences... Thanks!

He is a first rate classical guitar maker, but also has built a whole series of flamencas. They have been distributed by Mundo Flamenco in Freiburg/Germany. As far as I know they always sold very quickly and met with big acclaim. Unfortunately they all went to unknown destinations (at least as to what I can find out and for what Sascha Nowak knows himself).

I know some of Sascha Nowaks classical guitars, and these are great, mature instruments.

Fascinating. Sascha Nowak must have made at least eight flamencas, blancas and negras, and nobody here seems to own or know one...

Many luthier made flamenco guitars are bought by people who have the money to pay but not the inclination to learn. They are played occasionally and badly in private in bedroom all over the world. So 8 guitars could easily disappear without trace!

Nothing personal meant - I didn't have in mind people with 200+ posts here! We should be pleased that a good flamenco guitar is such an exciting instrument to play that people love to own them. It gives us more excellent luthiers to choose from.

Rob, I didn't take it as personal or offending, just as true ... I have nice guitars and I'm very mediocre player ...

But for me it's a great joy to play wonderful sounding instruments, and especially if I know the maker ... it's is like a deeper connection.
