Tomatito crushes Satie

Last episode of NF Tomatito and peanno player carry off a fantastic rendition of an Eric Satie Gymopedie!

Great stuff, oh guess I kind of blew the "you kids get off my lawn
" stance on mixing flamenco...but this is not mix, its good guitar player and pianist working out a sensible duet on Satie.

Begins after the first volley of introduction.

Hey, great stuff. I like it much better than his live performance here last year.

I know I really like it. Classical music is pliable and it is great to hear people taking it out farther.

I like how they understand the intimate idiomatic nature of Satie, but they improvise in ways that enhances that. Very preceptively done.

Great stuff, thanks for posting!

It's from an album called 'Spain Forever' by Michel Camilo and Tomatito if anyone's interested. It's on spotify.
