Sore thumb

I practiced the guitar almost nonstop for 2 hours yesterday and now my right thumb feels very tender at the flesh near the nail. I am afraid that if I continue practicing today, blister may develop. So my question: for pulga technique, do you play with 100% nail or part flesh part nail? Thanks.

Once you join the 2 hour per day club you will get a callous (area of toughened skin) on that part of your thumb. Then you will be a real flamenco guitarist. Go easy for a couple of days and then start practising again. Sadly if you go on a lengthy holiday without your guitar you have to start all over again.
