Going over some "Guajiras de Lu...

It's been a very long time since I looked at this piece by Paco... Now it's time to finish this.

Nice. I am still working on this one in order to make it ALL the way through ONE time with zero mistake at tempo...hasn't happened yet. . Also I am still torn about the capo deal. AT capo 1 I can make the whole piece much easier EXCEPT the middle part...and vice versa, with no capo I nail the middle part but screw up inevitably some where else.

Thanks Ricardo... I believe some time ago I uploaded the middle arpeggio section and Todd made a comment saying I was playing it like a Giuliani study. 😀 After listening to it a few times he was right. Man, that 1974 performance of Paco playing it was just insane. He had a very powerful free stroke as well. It was that video that inspired me to look at this piece again.

I'm glad you liked it Blondie number 2... .... I agree Ricardo (with respect to doing the whole thing at tempo with no mistakes) but unless you are John Williams or Paco de Lucia (at his best technically) , that is almost impossible. Oh wait ; Javier Conde and Grisha should be included in the list.

Guiliani study!!! work in progress to put it all together -

not that in my dreams i could play it , but JG you have the facility too do it justice.

Ive noticed that a few classical guitarista play it in concerts which just goes to show how much of a gem it is

great Encore !

More of guajiras.. Fluffed a few but I'll probably have to slow it up a bit once I play the entire piece... Just testing myself🤔

I was in Spain back in 2001 or 2002. It was some souvenir shop in Sevilla or Cordoba.. Can't remember... I really want to go back soon and pay Anders a visit.. I really like the sound of his guitars.

Nah, but i have to say i do feel comfortable playing it at a decent tempo.. Like Ricardo says though, playing the whole piece at full speed without mistakes is a different beast.
