Kremona Morena great starter/beach/c...

I went to a music shop I never go to and saw ONE flamenco on the wall. It had a rosewood fretboard so I wasn't expecting much. I started playing it and was shocked by the volume and warmth, and it was actually fun to play. Couldn't put it down. After about a half hour playing the guy came up to shoot shop with me and I asked him how much they wanted for it. He said $500 but it was negotiable since it's been sitting for a long time, "no one wants a flamenco". I played for another 20 minutes or so and just couldn't leave it there. I offered him $400 if he threw in case and two sets of strings he said sure. Went in expecting to kill time and walked out with a guitar I don't really need but I'm very happy to have.
In all, best guitar in the price range I've ever heard or played. Obviously it's no hand made guitar but in this neighborhood you can't beat it.
Though, been saving to commission a custom luthier made so this is a set back.....
Here's a lil vid, don't judge the guitar on my crappy recording abilities and playing.

Sounds very inexpensive...

You should re-check out Maria Conde and her guitars too.

YOU sound cheap! Lol jk
Don't underestimate my inability to record something. Pretty sure I could make a Conde sound like a toy. NONE of the bass or low mids comes through this mic and Photobooth had no EQ to adjust. I guess I really only posted a video cus it's the first thing people say when you buy a new guitar. "Post a video!"

Sounds like I failed at sounding snobbish

I don't know what that pink thing is but I want it.

Your feminine side looks great. What can I do with it?

Haha It gets blazing hot so I wouldn't recommend doing anything with it other than letting it heat the room up. Lol

As to be expected, it seems to be sounding a bit shallow and not too pristine compared with concert level stuff.
Yet, it sure sounds great for its shelf.

I had a similar experience with a cheap shelf warmer in the mid nineties. (Mentioned already sometime on the foro.)
Had been out for a pizza with someone. After ordering I noticed that there was a music store across street, so I rushed over for some sets of strings. Naturally not without checking some axes on the fly. Stuck with one lacking clarity & speed as mentioned above, but with some smooth Spanish timbre to it. One could tickle a nice tone out of that thing.

Folks started circling around me with their wallets pulled out. But it didn´t go back on stand / became spontaneous deal + case.
It´s playability was bare none.

Lent it out to an inspiring young artist and didn´t take it back from her when leaving Germany. May she be appreciated. The guitar I mean.

I don't know what the seller told you but I have a Kremona too and it didn't come with a beach & camping pass.

Being from a city where I consistently over pay for every facet of my life it feels good to get a deal every once in a while.

Really??? Mine came with fishing poles and a wet suite!

I'm happy for you, Lenny. Are you really a lefty or is the video mirrored? If you're a lefty, was this originally a "lefty" guitar or did you have to flip the strings (and the nut / saddle)?

Nice playing and not a bad sounding instrument for the money. I did the same exact thing about 2 weeks ago at my local Music go Round. I was there picking up a cable and I decided to check out the stock. They had two Yamaha flamenco's there, one was gloss finish and was crap and the second was matte finished and sounded very good. Nice balance and very easy to play. They also had an Alhambra that was surprisingly nice. I have a good beach guitar with my Cordoba 75F so I don't need another guitar either but I was tempted to pick up that Yamaha.

Thanks Sig! Yeah, Ive played a matte Yamaha that I was VERY tempted to buy. Every once in a while you come across cheap crap that just accidentally turns out awesome. Lol

Is that some sort of contraption to dispense cat food directly into the bowl?

I had to try hard on this one. I know very little about cats besides that they all seem to enjoy sinking their little nails on me if I am fooling around with their owners.

BTW, I thought girls had cats... not bearded guys that handle wood in a manly way.

Yeah, his fat ass broke into every automated feeder we bought so I devised this to keep him from diggin his grubby paws into the feeder and eating all day. Lil' bastard weighs 20 pounds!

I thought the same thing about cats before this guy. He was my girlfriends cat, now he's mine. I don't know how cats became associated with girls. He's a little bas ass. He kills anything that moves and loves to play fight with me. Best of all we can leave for a weekend and he doesn't care. He does his thing I do mine and when we feel like interacting it's fun. When I play guitar he comes out and stares at me for hours, he loves it. I used to be waaaaaay a dog person but after him I'm kinda liking cats better. They're just easier and more entertaining.
