I have never fishe there before, but plenty of info on the net. I have read great Fly Fishing adventurers in Argentina. If you have a chance go for it.

Gracias

My wife wants to visit Argentina and I was a professional flyfishing instructor in Irlanda, so we could combine interests. No fishing here

I have been a fly-fisher most of my life. Started at the Texas coast fishing the flats for Red Fish, sea trout and flounder. Do some pond fly-fishing for bass, and sun fish and the closest cold water fishery is about 2.5 hours for rainbows and browns, mostly nymphing some dry fly and of course streamers.

Lots of variety so it keeps it fun.

Any fly fisherman's dream would be to fish the Patagonia river systems.

Morante, I am a fly fishing obsessive. Mostly the rivers here. Liffey, Kells Blackwater, Kings River, Suir...
Where were you based? Do you ever come back here? Next time you're back let's meet up and leave the flamenco at home for a dayt

Hola

I have fished most of these rivers, but mostly Loughs Carra, Mask (my favourite) Corrib and the famous Mask Corrib canal. I once caught the first flyfished salmon on the Galway Weir, but I always preferred trout I used to have a boat on Corrib, but I have given all up and have no plans to return.

Russell Taylor is a rock guitarist from Dublin, a great friend of mine and a fine fisherman: he loves the West. You should meet up

Saludos

Well, I washed my feet in Lough Corrib last year. (not a joke) so all fish is dead now.

Are you serious Anders? You should let me know if you are coming over here again. Corrib is savage(great)!

I was in west Ireland a total of 3 month in 2013 and 2014, following the Irish trad sommerschool/festival route and playing a lot of reels, jigs and Hornpipes in some 60 - 70 session. Great fun. Very lively culture.

BTW my brother was in Argentina fishing trouts a few years ago. Big ugly ones with big heads and teeth. Nothing sweet or elegant like a 2 pound European brown trout. I just cant remember exactly where. But I believe it was somewhere lost in Patagonia.

There are more trout in the Southern Cone than you can shake your rod at. And if you get skunked, the asado is excellent.
