I think they are called pod cases - search that. they are light weight but don't last very long, couple of years maybe, but cheap

I have one that is too knackered to use anymore - I got it from the Spanish Guitar Centre in Bristol when I lived there... they do mail order to anywhere - but you should be able to walk in to most guitar/music stores and get one.

You must be able to pick one up in London.
I bought this one recently. Thomann postage is not to bad...

Ahhhh. Pod cases eh? Thanks Mark. I've been searching under many variations of foam styrofoam, polyfoam, semi hard etc etc
Ill try that search now. I actually have one. But like you say ...it's battered.turn and ripped and think even the foam is cracked. I have a choke odd decent hard cases but when I'm whizzing about town I love the lightness of these cases. Strapped on my back I barely notice it.

Thanks John. Ill check that link now.

That link isn't quite what I'm after. But thanks. I feel like I'm being really fussy here. I can find a few but they either have a cumbersome pocket on the front, a horrid brand logo or fluffy interior. Or most annoying of all... A square top!

This is the closest I could find to what I want.

Perfect except for the pocket on the front. But I can live with that. Might just order this.
I just trawled the guitar shops in London and no one has anything close. I suspected as much as they're all for electric guitars and the like.

Anyone else this fussy when choosing a case?

Its easy to remove a pocket they are mostly sewn on.

I wanted one so I had to glue it on.(not a styrofoam bag).

PS: I just wonder why so many companies write "lightweight" and then don't specify the weight. Annoying!

Yeah, I thought I could just remove it. So decided to order that one. Sorry! Don't sell cases any more.
So frustrating. Can't find one of those any where else.

Surely my search terms are wrong...feels like I'm gonna type the right combo of words and I'm gonna find hundreds of them.

I've got one of these foam ones, very strong and large bags.

No!!!

what's wrong with the pocket? you don't have to use it! just leave it empty.... but you never know when it might come in handy to put something in.....

Btw. If anyone's interested. I got that case with the pocket. And the pocket is great! I was misguided before. I don't know how I'd live without that pocket now.

And I looked at my old case and there are clear marks where there was a pocket before. Can't remember if it was me who unpicked the stitching or not tho.

But the conclusion is that pockets are good!
