Anybody know what this is?

Is this a known piece, or just Paco improvising:

Pretty sure it's a mix of a couple different farrucas he does on albums.....

It’s Punta y tacón by Sabicas, from Flamenco Puro.

Paco played it on the LP The Art of the Flamenco Guitar. On CD, it's on Fabulous Flamenco! on the Eclipse label, and there’s also a version on A Compás!

The sheet music is in Joseph Trotter’s book of Sabicas transcriptions, now out of print but possibly available second-hand somewhere:

Seems to follow roughly what Paco is playing, I got lost a few times so will have look into it more.

Although I think Paco is the greatest living Flamenco guitarist, I listened to Sabicas play it and I think he did it a bit better.

Thanks

I gave the book to a pupil a long time ago so can't check but this is very reminiscent of the farruca from Pena's excellent Toque Flamencos book. Maybe the Sabicas was one of the models for that. For sure the funky muted golpe section is common to both.

It full or errors, but since I have Guitar Pro I can easily correct them and print something that's readable.

Can’t you still get a month of it free? Or it wouldn’t cost that much just to join for a month.
