Not by my opinion. Google doesn´t need to know where I´m located in my country. So I decline to take part in this. I even go a step further and state that it brings absolutely nothing. It´s not more than a just placative picture not containing any practical use.

Thanks for sharing your opinion Bernd

The possibility to opt out was always consider something important here. I just really like maps. And yes, for some it will be about as practical as an obsession with flamenco in the Caribbean, but it is really just a bit of fun and seems quite popular too. And it will help people get in touch with other foro users either in their area or when travelling.

If google use it to send me viagra adverts then they will be deleted them like every other viagra advert I get sent. I presume you also refuse to carry a mobile phone, because they know exactly where you are with one of those things too.

Not really. I use an older mobile phone without internet access, email or gps. The telephone cell area detection is technically much to unprecise to locate me concretely. So don´t worry
