Je Suis Charlie! Vive la France!
It seems almost an affectation to post on the Foro today as if everything were normal without acknowledging what our French friends and colleagues are going through in defending against terrorists motivated by ignorance and a medieval mindset. So, to those French I know as friends and colleagues, and to those I don't, JE SUIS CHARLIE! VIVE LA FRANCE! We and the entire civilized world stand with you!

Of course a terrible crime. My respect to their families.
I would like to add that I don't believe this is an attack on freadom, civilisation etc. For me it is 2 disillusioned brothers with their own personal problems committing murder. It should be remembered as a vile terrorist attack. For me an attack on freedom would be an act from the state/organisation. Murder is murder. But I feel mentioning this is bad taste, so lets hope France and the world keeps living in peace.

So what's your point? The question was not whether or not Charlie Hebdo was always correct, or whether or not there are double-standards in many cases of journalism and satire. Charlie Hebdo had a reputation for offending just about everyone.
The question at hand is whether or not satire justifies terrorists, with their ignorance and medieval mindset, killing the staff of Charlie Hebdo (or any other publication). What do you think about that?

No, it isn't justified. Not in reply to Bill, per se, but this thread started as a show of support and a tribute to those murdered in Paris. It did not invite speculation on a conspiracy, ballistics or the concept of free speech. I do not care for where this is headed, so please take it elsewhere.
