first build

Hi folks,
I'm off to Spain next year to build myself a guitar with foro member and luthier Stephen Hill on his guitar makers course. I can't wait! I'm just wondering if there's anything I can do now to be prepared? I haven't played too many different guitars over the years and I'm a bit concerned i may get there and we may be requred to know specifically what spec we want...Neck length, action etc and I won't have a preference. Is it worth doing a bit of playing lots of guitars or what?
Just don't want to get there and end up making a guitar I don't like playing

Stephen sold me my first guitar in England and I got to know him well when I lived near him in Spain. He is a great guy, excellent craftsman and a patient teacher. I would suggest you call him in Spain to discuss it on 0034 958827086. He can talk you through the options available on his courses.

You will really, really enjoy your time with him in La Herradura. Trust me.

Dont worry, if you relax now, and dont make up a lot of worrying mental games, you´ll come home with a nice guitar that you´ll play a lot. Stephen knows what he is doing and you are not his first pupil.

Thanks everyone.
I have his email and I'm all booked.I just didnt wanna bug him too much with questions as I've done that a bit already regarding the accommodation etc ..

Anders perhaps my post is misleading. I know I'm not his first student and im not suggesting for a second he doesn't know what he's doing. I think I'm just excited and want to discuss, think and plan for the course.

Anyways I'm going there in may 2015. I'm sure I'll be frequenting the foro a little more. Posting my pictures and account of my adventure

Ok, the go ahead and say what you want to know.
And when you are there, dont waste your time on foroflamenco. Concentrate on the building and afterwards on the lovely beach in La Herradura and may is such a sweet month down here.
