Surprisingly, Vicente Amigo can sound a lot like Animals as Leaders.
cool. I had this idea so many years ago when I first got vicente's album. I was living at my mom's house playing electric guitar w distortion doing Vicente and Gerardo bulerias falsetas. Only difference here, I was doing a lot of tasty palm muting and pinch harmonic squeals. It honestly didn't work alone but sounding cool if I played with the original recording, the metal guitar sound enhancing the percussive flamenco sound. This thing took me back to those bedroom jams. I also will admit I was introduced to animals as leaders in january at the namm show...both seeing the African guitarist at the Ibanez booth right before Paul Gilbert came out, and a day or two later at the TAMA drum show performing. I was quite impressed.
