Change to Classified rules

New members will have to post 25 meaningful posts in other areas of the forum before advertising for free. Thank our recent joiner Baki for the change. Sadly, he is no longer with us. He didn't like the rules.

Thanks Simon! I think 25 is fine. It doesn't allow people to come in and bump 10 zombie posts just so they can post their for sale ad.

Its ok and pretty normal on internet forums.
Do you still have to manually accept every response in the classifieds section?

''Meaningful posts'' thats gonna be difficult to judge ...

So , like .. what is intended to be, or actually is, expressed or indicated. ..

When you say meaningful , you refer I suppose to a notion in semantics which defines it as having 2 components, a reference to something denoted by a word or expression and the sense of a paradigmatic sense or syntagmatic relationship between a form-meaning composite.. , and any other such lexical units in a language ...

thus ... 25 of those ....yeah that might work ...
However in my own 1700 or so posts I 'm not sure if I have reached the 25 'Meaningful' ones yet , including this one ...

I mean something of import, with a gist, relevant intent, question or opinion e.g. about flamenco in more than 5 words and not all in 24 hours, where the aim is clearly to advertise for free on the back of our notable community.

I would classify your post as 'meaningful'

This sounds good, I guess I have to post about 24 more posts in order to say something meaningful, I have over 3000 posts of my usual crap.

Anyway, this rule is meaningful to me.
