new A. Eliasson 2A Blanca 
SOLD

#116 is a 2A euro spruce top blanca with back and sides of Canadian Cypress. Scale length is 650mm and nut width is 52mm. The guitar is French Polished. price is 2000,-€ with a hardcase.

2 questions:

Is there much difference between the traditional wooden pegs and modern machine heads (I'll be a philistine and admit I prefer the modern machine heads)?

How much would it cost to send a guitar to the UK?

There is a slight difference in feel on a wooden peg guitar. The headstock is a bit lighter and the fact that the strings is wound around a wooden peg that sits directly in the headstock does that the vibration of the string is transmitted more directly to the guitar. Its not a big difference, but wooden pegs make a guitar that feels more responsive.

The downside is that tuning is more complicated. I have a 1A blanca for sale with wooden pegs and they really work very smooth and its relatively easy to tune the guitar, but there is no gear and it will always be a 1 : 1 ratio.
