Hi Nucho,

Your Lucio Dalla passed away only months ago. ( Name correctly written?)
A former Italian girl friend of mine was a great fan of his which had me hearing of his albums in the early eighties.

I never admitted to her, but actually his music wasn´t that bad and quite colorful, and hearing of him passing lately did make me a bit sad and nostalgic.

Anyway, welcome to you and your country´s adorable cuisine and tradition of aesthetics!

Thanks to all.

@Ruphus

correct!

I'm not really a fan but Lucio Dalla wrote some beautiful songs that excite me too.

We are getting older and becoming more sentimental...Maybe.

ciao

Molfetta , near Bari ... a land , as you know , with strong Arabic influences and Spanish (as you can see in art and architecture , in particular)
there is almost nothing here around about serious musical activity - as I know- with regard to the flamenco , except for sporadic initiatives, as usual, " very intellectual " and not very " flamenco " :-).

I've been in your beautiful city, last year, I brought my son to see the Egyptian Museum .

At 56 years old, I find myself to be an architect with a passion for flamenco guitar ( and this forum has helped me a lot to shoot properly learning the technical - originally classical) .

I write just for lack of time and because it is not easy to write in another language;
I must say it is very nice feature of this forum to see people from all over the world gather around a so complex music...so far from the commercial one.

Of course, the differences are many, sometimes source of misunderstanding .... but in the end I believe that diversity is always an asset.
Moreover, the presence of professional guitarists and luthiers of considerable rank , make this foro a really special place .... " very flamenco ."

so, what a bout you,how did you get here ?

(I feell so funny to write in english with another italian! :-)

ciao
giambattista

Yeah Molfetta i know.
I'm born in Turin but my parents are from Minervino Murge and some of my family actually lives in Puglia.
I'm son of terrone people, I'm a terrone too...jajajaja (mi sa che la battuta la capisci solo tu) like most of the people who lives in Turin.

Yes Strange speak in english with you but it's is more respectful of us as guests.

Pochi ma... "buoni"!

Ciao Nucho, and welcome to ForoFlamenco. Please share your music, experience, inspiration and any concern you may have. We have an assortment of sophisticated and scholarly members who share their knowledge here. I am sure you will find their contribution invaluable.

I am originally from Padova, but have lived in NYC for 25 years -where I practice law and teach- and now commute between NY and SF [a wonderfully more humane habitat and climate for my aging bones].

'look forward to hearing your guitar speak to us in that universal tongue we all appreciate and understand [well, not entirely without a few misunderstandings, naturally].
ciao
Giacomo
